Happy early Birthday to me!

Isn't this the prettiest thing you have ever seen! My Mom and Dad got me this for my birthday but lucky for me it arrived well over a month early! Yippee! I guess this means I can celebrate the entire month of February right into March!Thanks Mom and Dad for the beautiful and functional Birthday present! I love you!

Great Aunt

Back when I was "tagged" one of the things I mentioned was that I became an Aunt when I was 7. Well this week I found out that that very niece Jessica, is going to have a baby of her own! Thus making me a great Aunt come September! Aren't I too young to be a great Aunt? I am still in my twenties! (until March that is) I guess all things come early when you are the youngest of nine! The better part to me is that my sister Catherine is going to be a Grandma! I really think it is so hilarious! She does not however! I know that becoming a great Aunt doesn't really change my role any but I feel like having a sister that is a Grandma really changes the dynamics! I've spent my whole life waiting to be on the same playing field as my siblings and when I got married and had my own kids it was like we were all doing the same things in life but now a Grandma?? I am so far off from being one of those! Well I better be REALLY far off from being on of those! I think it's great that Jessica is going to be a Mom and a great one at that and I guess I am so ready to be a great, Great Aunt!

Poop in the tub

Why is it when I am trying to be a super great Mom things like this happen? The kids were taking an early bath and I had decided that after the bath we would get into Xavier's bed and I would read them as many books as they wanted before bed.
Then Xavier pooped in the tub! I had to get them out and let our 1920's bath drain before cleaning it and bathing them all over again!
As the water drained I started into my lecture to Xavier at how he knows better then to poop in the tub and the he can never ever ever do it again. So then I start the cleaning process and am still going on about how wrong pooping in the tub is. At this point I am so upset that I have to clean this and disinfect some 30 toys and re wash these two from head to toe. I had even conditioned Bellas hair, all down the drain. So I'm breathing hard through my nose as I start to pick up poop and Bella starts to clap and cheer "Go Mommy, good job, you do it" I couldn't help but laugh and smile because how cute is she? Then Xavier joins in and they are clapping for me as if I am running in a marathon (which I will never do by the way) and when I have it all finished Xavier's says " Good job Mommy, I'm so proud of you!"
After the second bath they ran to the play room to play as I'm sure they had had enough talking to from me. We ended up reading some books and saying prayers like usual. Bellas prayers are never understood so I got to say a silent one and say thanks for two great kids even if they poop in the tub!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Xavier!!

Since Xavier has a July Birthday we sent in his birthday treats for his half Birthday. He really didn't know what was going on in the morning when I was sending him to school with ice cream cone cupcakes, even though I had tried to explain it a couple different ways. But when he came home from school with his half birthday hat and they had sang to him, He jumped off the bus and said let's open my presents! I think he gets it now! Well, sort of!

Bed Buddies

Xavier has a little habit of climbing into Bella's bed, wrestling with her, and then not being able to get out so they fall asleep like this. On one hand I'm always telling Xavier not to get in her bed but then I see them like this and I kind of think it's sweet to see them sleeping so close together. I love my babies!!

Happy Faux New Year!!!

Happy Faux New Year! This is Xavier and Isabella's first New Year celebration! They had so much fun with all the confetti!! (Big mess to clean up though!)

Can you imagine getting this out??? I went to rub the top stuff off and it just went in deeper! So I decided that we would celebrate the New Year a little early. At 9 O'clock we counted down and celebrated the New Year. The kids loved it so so so much and then they went to bed and were none the wiser! The adults went on to celebrate the New Year at Midnight and had a great time ringing in the New Year!
